1. Program Overview
Computer Pros, Inc. ("Computer Pros," "we," "us," or "our") operates a text messaging (SMS) alert program that notifies enrolled clients and their authorized personnel of time-sensitive IT security events affecting their systems or accounts. The program exists so you can respond quickly to security incidents that might otherwise go unnoticed until it is too late.
By enrolling in this program, providing your mobile number to Computer Pros, or otherwise consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to be bound by these Text Messaging Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not opt in, and stop participating in the program using the instructions in Section 7.
2. Eligibility
This program is intended for existing Computer Pros clients and the individuals they authorize to receive security notifications on their behalf (for example, an IT contact, business owner, or designated staff member). You must be at least 18 years old and be the owner or an authorized user of the mobile number you provide.
3. How You Opt In
You are enrolled in this program in one way only:
- By entering your mobile number and affirmatively checking the consent box on the Computer Pros sign-up form at https://computerpros.us/forms/textmesg-form/.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Computer Pros. We do not buy, rent, or import phone numbers from any third party, and we do not enroll numbers on a person's behalf.
Mobile opt-in data is never shared. No mobile information, text messaging opt-in data, or consent will be shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Types of Messages
Messages sent through this program are transactional security notifications, not marketing or promotional messages. Examples of the alerts you may receive include:
- Notification of a suspected or confirmed account or system breach;
- Alerts regarding unauthorized access attempts to a monitored account, device, or network;
- Notification of compromised software, firmware, or hardware on a monitored system;
- Critical security patches or actions required to remediate an active threat;
- Verification requests related to a flagged security event.
A message typically includes a brief description of the event and, where applicable, instructions or a link to a secure client portal for further detail. We will never ask for a password, a full payment card number, or a Social Security number by text message.
A sample message reads: "Computer Pros security alert: unusual sign-in detected on your Microsoft 365 account. Call 850-224-7767 or check your portal. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help."
5. Message Frequency
You will receive up to 10 messages per month. Because alerts are triggered by actual security events rather than a fixed schedule, many months will include no messages at all, while an active incident may generate several messages in a single day.
6. Cost & Message/Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges appear on your mobile carrier bill or are deducted from your prepaid balance, depending on your plan. Computer Pros does not charge a separate fee to participate in this alert program. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your specific text and data plan.
7. Opting Out (STOP)
You can cancel this SMS program at any time. Reply to any message with the word STOP. We will send a one-time confirmation reply acknowledging that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further text messages from this program. To resume receiving security alerts by text, reply START or re-enroll through the sign-up form.
Note: Because these are security alerts tied to your monitored systems, opting out of SMS does not disable the underlying security monitoring. Alerts continue to be delivered through your other configured channels, such as email or your client portal, unless you separately request a change to your monitoring services.
Unsubscribes you from all future SMS alerts from this program.
Re-subscribes you to SMS alerts after previously opting out.
Returns program support information and contact details.
Alternate keyword to re-subscribe, honored the same as START.
8. Getting Help (HELP)
For help at any time, reply HELP to any message from this program, call us at 850-224-7767, or email [email protected]. Replying HELP returns program support details, including how to get further assistance or unsubscribe.
9. Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Wireless carriers participating in this program are not liable for any delay or failure in the transmission or delivery of any message sent through the program, and Computer Pros is not responsible for any delay in the receipt of any SMS message, as delivery depends on effective transmission from your wireless carrier's network.
Supported carriers may change from time to time, and Computer Pros and its SMS platform providers are not responsible for unsupported carriers.
10. Privacy
Information collected as part of this SMS program, including your mobile phone number and opt-in status, is used solely to operate the security alert program. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the program, legal requirements, or carrier policies. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last revised. Continued participation in the program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes affecting how the program operates will be communicated to enrolled participants where required by law.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
This SMS alert program is a courtesy notification service. It is not a substitute for comprehensive security monitoring, incident response, or your organization's own security protocols. Computer Pros makes no warranty, express or implied, that alerts will be delivered instantly, without delay, or without error. You should maintain independent means of monitoring critical systems and should not rely on SMS alerts as the sole method of detecting or responding to security incidents.
